Product Description

Pet Size: up to 10” long

Habitat: Desert

Substrate: Baby leopard geckos need to be kept on cage carpet.

Pet Care: Beginner. Leopard Geckos are insectivores. They eat mostly live insects. They eat insects like “gut loaded” (feed the insects a special supplement so they have extra nutrients) crickets, mealworms and wax worms. Feed juveniles once a day and adults 4 -5 times a week. Offer an amount that they can eat during their overnight feed. Dust the insects with a calcium supplement at least twice a week. They will lick from a small, shallow dish filled with vitamin/mineral powder. Make sure to provide a water dish that is deep enough for them to bath in and drink from. They are a nocturnal animal and are happiest and healthiest living alone. Give your pet 3 -4 days to adjust to their new home. Then try holding them for short periods of time. Take care to never handle them by the tail. The tail can break off.

Cage Size: Use a 10 gal or larger glass terrarium with a screen lid with proper ventilation. Provide a natural or artificial rock or wood moist hiding place. Leopard geckos need a dry habitat with a moist hiding area. For juveniles use a cage carpet. For adults use 2 – 3” layer of calcium sand. Clean waste weekly and change bedding at least once a month.

Day: Maintain a daytime temp between 85 -95 degrees

Night: Maintain a nighttime temp between 65 – 75 degrees

Place a thermometer above the area with the heater and another at the cool end to monitor temperatures.
